We'd been posting about the upcoming elections in Sweden, a bit about blowback on Biden's latest speeches, the odd report from the 'other side' in this conflict in the Ukraine...
But there's no getting us on the defensive here. GETTR is supposed to be a free speech platform, and that means it's free speech.
We'd just conducted a fsck at console level, as swap had been building up. Our browser of choice performed a nearly seamless update. Back from the command line and back into the GUI, we found our GETTR account was acting funky. There were successive and repeated messages that something was wrong. We tried logging in. We found this.
Then we tried visiting our own GETTR user page. We found this.
Stay tuned - and do stay tuned, for we're about to see how 'free speech' is defined over there.
GETTR has been by far our favourite hangout online. It's more open-minded than other sites, it truly reaches across the globe and works on all platforms, and there's generally a good and upbeat feeling about being there.
Or has been. Until now.

Meanwhile, please confirm with us about your GETTR username, @rixstep, and registered email address, so that we will forward your information to our team for further investigation.
