The mayor of Bucha came on camera 31 March, gleefully declaring his town had been 'liberated' once the RF redeployed.
By 3 April no outside journalist was allowed back into the town, as Azov took over.
Then 'Bucha' happened.
Former Indian ambassador MK Bhadrakumar:
Even more surprising is that within minutes of the 'breaking news', western leaders - heads of state, foreign ministers, former politicians - popped up with statements duly kept ready and only based on the videos, seconds-long videos, and a clutch of photos, ready to pour accusations.
Mar 30 - Ru troops leave Bucha
Mar 31 - Mayor of Bucha announces town 'liberated', makes no mention of atrocities
Apr 1/2 - Azov Nazis enter Bucha
Apr 3 - Ukr MinDef publishes video of 'Russian' atrocities
Gonzalo in Kharkiv (this is an update):
'Lira comes to the conclusion that the Azov Nazis have killed some people in Bucha that had been too friendly with the Russian 'occupiers' and are now blaming Russia for it.'
Yes - about four hundred. All wearing white armbands to signify they're pro-Russian.
Bucha is the latest shiny object that the Western cats are chasing mindlessly without taking time to think critically about what Russia is actually doing on the ground.
Russia's invasion on February 24 was not a classic military attack. What do I mean? If Russia was intent on conquering and subjugating Ukraine without regard to the fate of Ukrainian civilians it would have launched massive missile and airstrikes on all major cities, bridges, airfields, railroads, and communication systems.
It did not do that. Not my opinion.
Nope. Casualties on the US invasion of Iraq were seven times higher. The US grunts don't care about people living halfway around the globe, but Ukraine is Russia's neighbour. They consider themselves to be basically one people. All the Russians want/need gone are the bestial Nazis that the OSS/CIA/Nuland have been cultivating for seventy years.
You can win the war on the ground if you're better equipped, better trained, and better prepared. You can't win the information war if the enemies own all the media and cancel any outlets that dare question the official narrative and try to tell the truth.
