Do you have two hours to waste this afternoon? We did. Of course we didn't think we'd be spending so much time on something so unexpected, but that's how it turned out.
We've been seeing social media posts from Abe Hamadeh and Kari Lake the past few days, hinting that something big was happening or had already happened. It turns out that the Arizona Senate held a marathon session on Monday to dig deeper into the causes of the scandalous election in November.
This total chaos came on the heels of a similar scandal two years earlier. Katie Hobbs, officially governor of Arizona for now, was in charge of both elections.
The official governor tally in 2022 had Katie winning by 17,117 votes. No one believed it. Joe Rogan just had an Arizonan on the other night who talked about how absurd the whole thing has been. The people of Arizona were aflame with the prospect of finally getting a guv who worked for them, who was guided by common sense, who wanted to close the border, and deal with homelessness, and end the woke, etc, someone who seemed mature in every possible way. Everyone had Kari signs at their houses, Rogan's guest told him.
All the while Katie Hobbs almost literally hid in her cellar, only turned up for work 19 times the previous half year, and otherwise concentrated on filing complaints to Twitter to have posts taken down.
She was caught off-guard on a few occasions when lunching at fast-food restaurants in the area, and on all those occasions she ran for the nearest restroom and hid away. Just what governors always do.
Kari Lake was more than somewhat popular in Arizona, she was more than wildly popular in Arizona, she was more than wildly popular across the US: Kari was a global sensation, attracting reporters from Japan, Australia, Scandinavia, and Europe to even her impromptu street corner pressers.
Shenanigans were again in play in the 2022 midterms, as no one had done anything to legislatively improve election integrity. Both the Dems and the GOP in DC have tried to introduce legislation to tighten things up, but lack of traction always took over in the end. People seemed not to want to think about it as election day November 2022 loomed. Then the day came and everything hit the fan. It really looked like the establishment was sending a big 'fuck you' to the people.
Kari was alerted in the wee hours by a friend. She took her family to a blue area to vote. Things worked OK there. Then she got herself a megaphone, and her husband drove her around to voting locations so she could rally the spirits of those queueing, sometimes for hours, to cast their vote.
Back at Charlie Kirk's election central, things still looked good for Kari, but a bit dim for her AG partner Abe Hamadeh. But Kari will win, said Charlie, over and over and over. Charlie had done his calculations, and Kari would be state 48's next governor. No question.
The two people immediately subordinate Katie Hobbs, Bill Gates and Stephen Richer, came out the day before to assure the world that 2022 would not be a repeat of 2020. They'd supervised things at the 223 polling places and everything was ship-shape and ready to rock.
And so it had been - up to that point. No incidents were reported for the month-long early voting.
But then something inexplicable happened overnight. Suddenly voting machines were failing left and right. Yes, just like that. From one day to the next. It was total chaos.
We The People
Two weeks ago, a group now called ‘We The People’ finally got important documents from Maricopa County. Maricopa County is infamous today for being the most corrupt county in the US, more so than even Chicago's Cook County. A team led by Shelby Busch poured over the documents, and testified before the Arizona Senate Elections Committee yesterday.
To call their testimony anything less than bombshell would be an abuse of the English language.
Shelby Busch also introduced Dr Walter Daugherity, an ivy league academic with multiple degrees from Harvard, including a doctorate, and a long-time professor at Texas A&M. Daugherity's new speciality is studying election procedure and malfeasance, and his part of this two-hour presentation is educational, to say the least.
Make no bones about it: nothing's going to replace taking the two hours to view (or at least listen to) this presentation.
Chairing the committee is Senator Wendy Rogers. Right there you know things are going to be conducted smoothly. Wendy would pop in at irregular intervals to Charlie Kirk's HQ during the election. She was mostly quiet. But Wendy has a precise mind, and she'd politely correct the others when they got something slightly wrong. Wendy is also a staunch Kari supporter, as Wendy knows what a sea change Kari could bring about in State 48. With Ron DeSantis having drained and cleaned in Florida, with election results tabulated in hours rather than weeks, with Kari capable of doing the same for Arizona, things would finally be looking up for democracy.
Here's the specific part of the Senate hearing with Shelby and Walter. The full clip is also available, but on Rumble only, not on YouTube, it seems. One can wonder why this is so, but one shouldn't play naive.
You can find Shelby's complete presentation here.

We watched the Rumble recording. From start to finish. We broke a few times to grab some nosh and make coffee, and on one occasion let it roll even as we were AFK but still within earshot.
Frankly? It brought on feelings of nausea, perhaps vertigo. Shelby is precision to a fault, not only in her research but also in her way of presenting to the committee.
(You'll detect the odd troublemaker on that committee, no reason to divulge names, as it's so obvious, but suffice it to say that the offspring of one of them was convicted of 40 counts of sexual abuse.)
Let's work our way up slowly to what we think are the really big shocking revelations.
Eight-second signature verification
Shelby was able to demonstrate, with simple arithmetic, that Arizona's signature verification was a fraud. As she put it:
It actually takes 30-45 seconds to check a signature (and there are twelve things that must be checked).
298,000 signatures in 2.5 days (26.5 hours)
298,000/26.5 = 11,246 signatures/hour
11,246/25 = 449 per workstation per hour
That left eight (8) seconds per ballot.
Shelby goes on to explain how the signatures were treated, and she presents a number of affidavits from poll workers who attest to the sham.
Examples of weird signatures
Shelby's presentation goes through several examples of absolutely unbelievable 'signatures', all of which were evidently approved by people working for Katie Hobbs in Maricopa. (These were all mail-ins where voters were predominantly 'blue'.)
How it was and how it should be
Shelby took her time laying up this next part, and Wendy asked all the right questions beforehand, so even the thickest of panelists couldn't pretend not to understand.
On the first image, along the bottom of the graph, you see a red line hovering around 0%. That's the accepted EAC norm. Deviation from that norm means the voting equipment is not acceptable.
The Y axis is the percentage of failure. The X axis represents the 223 voting locations in Maricopa.
The first image represents an 'acceptable' performance by voting machines.
Now here's the actual performance for Maricopa on election day November 2022.
Ballots are rocket science to produce. The quality of the paper must be known and input. One of the four corners is intentionally blank, so the tabulator knows which end is up. The tabulators can scan in any of four ways - over, under, and the same for back to front. The lines along the edges are timing marks and must be completely black and of exactly the same size. The 'blackness' of a voting choice must be typically at least 35%, with anything less than 14% considered not a vote. And so forth.
All the above was explained brilliantly by Dr Walter.
Nothing will beat viewing the clip and taking the two hours to partake of it.
Clearly voting machine technology is a rocket science. This does not mean we humans should trust it. Clearly this presentation shows that shady people can still find ways to cheat.
But, when you consider that Abe Hamadeh is currently behind in his AG race by only a few hundred votes, and global wonder Kari Lake is officially behind by only 17,117 votes, it makes you pause.
We've known it all along, as Joe Rogan's guest said, over and over again. Everybody knows who actually won Arizona. But they can't come right out and say it.
Kari Rally Sunday Phoenix
It's been a long time since the people have been energised by this individual, but at long last they might be getting their fix real soon now.
All she says for now is that there'll be a rally on Sunday. Not where, only when. There's something about 'RSVP' at her website.

People are wondering if the event will be streamed. No info yet.
Kari doesn't quit, or give up. Does Hobbs realise this?
